We rebuilt the website from the ground up.
New structure. Faster load times. A mobile experience that actually worked. A simpler, cleaner checkout process. We also ran conversion rate optimisation across the site, testing what was working and fixing what was not. The goal was to make it as easy as possible for someone who wanted to buy candy to complete that purchase.
We built a full SEO strategy.
We identified the keywords Sugarush's customers were searching for and built a plan to rank for them. That meant optimising every product page, writing content that answered real questions buyers were asking, building backlinks from food blogs and local directories, and getting Sugarush listed and visible in local searches across Ontario.
Within six months, they were ranking on page one for "candy store Toronto" and "online candy store Toronto."
We launched paid social advertising.
We built targeted Meta campaigns using lookalike audiences created from Sugarush's existing in-store customer database. Then we layered in retargeting for people who visited the site but didn't buy. The ads were built to reach the right people at every stage of the buying journey, from someone discovering Sugarush for the first time to someone who had already visited and just needed a reason to come back.
We built an email marketing system that worked.
We cleaned the existing database, moved their offline customer list online, and built out all the essential flows: Welcome sequences for new subscribers. Browse abandonment emails for people who looked but did not buy. Cart abandonment emails for people who got close but did not finish. Replenishment reminders. Retargeting campaigns.
